The first two weeks are over – and time to celebrate being in Hong Kong and being surrounded by four lovely colleagues. We all had a couple of long days behind us, so we decided to celebrate Friday evening and go for some drinks after work.
We went next door, to the recently opened Shore Bar. One of many bars in Central, but what is really lovely about it, is that you can sit outside. There is a terrace on the third floor, and with a dark sky and well-lit skyscrapers surrounding you, it’s a lovely place to be on a Friday night.
Drinks are fairly expensive (London prices) and the people were all business people, a mix of Western and Chinese people. Clearly one of the typical ‘cool’ hang-out places right now.
Clearly, when we were there, the outdoor area was packed. It was a mild Friday evening, not too cold, so lots of people squeezed on the terrace.
