I recently heard about a dance festival called LIVE VIBE. It’s on March 2 and 3 in the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and it sounds like fun.
After checking out its website I found out a little more about it. It seems to originate from London and is a mix of street dance, comedy, poetry and live music. This year’s LIVE VIBE features Philippine Allstars, who are the two-time world hip-hop champions, along with some amazing local dance crews.
The event brings Cantonese and English-speaking artists together, as the performers are led by the London co-founder Hakeem Onibudo, and by DeeGor, a local Cantonese emcee (that’s for MC, the Master of Ceremonies).
I found some videos from previous events on YouTube, which do a much better job in showing you the high energy and creativity of Live Vibe:
– LIVE VIBE takes place on Saturday, March 2 at 7:30pm and Sunday, March 3 at 2:30pm at the Jockey Club Auditorium in The Hong Kong Polytechnic University
– The ticket prices range between 120/150 HKD for children, students, seniors and groups to 150/180 HKD for adults
