Actually, I don’t shoot film or with analogue cameras – but in case you do, here is a tip on where to purchase your equipment from. Go and visit FILMe shop in Causeway Bay, Hong Kong. The word FILMe is derived from ‘film’ and ‘me’ emphasising on the integral nature of the two.
FILMe specializes in film photography needs by actively stocking dead stock film rolls from around the world apart from the usual 35mm, as well as 110, 120, 220, 4×5, 8×10, APS, Lomography and Polaroids.
Their quirky shop is in Redana Centre on Yiu Wa Street in Causeway Bay and they sell antique cameras and accessories along with providing film processing and camera repairing services for those who need it.
FILMe was founded and is owned by Cecilia Chow, who is very passionate about film and very friendly too. She knows a lot about cameras and film – so if you have a question, go and see her!
