Ok, so back to Singapore after my foodie blog interview with Kelly yesterday. One thing that I really miss in Hong Kong is Magnum Ice Cream (see my post here). It’s a shame that it is not being sold in Hong Kong, so I clearly have to make up for it every time I can eat it somewhere else.
So you can guess my surprise and joy when I saw a brown container with a very familiar M logo in front of the Robinsons department store. My heart almost skipped a beat!
The Magnum Pleasure Store is a pop-up concept that has been appearing around Singapore for a few months now.
I had read blog posts (for instance here on Melicacy) about its visit to VivoCity – but I did not know that the shop was then moving to Stamford Road, where I encountered it in early January.
The key and central element to all Magnum Pleasure Stores is the experience of designing one’s very own Magnum. That’s very easy and fun. Just choose dark, milk or white chocolate for your vanilla base.
Then add three toppings from an extensive array, including more traditional ingredients such as almond flakes, caramel chips, chocolate crunchies and chocolate hearts or be more adventurous with dried mixed flowers, gold flakes, chilli flakes or sea salt. Then all you need is just some more chocolate on top…

What a fun experience – although not the cheapest and healthiest. Still great fun. I wonder where the pop-up store will appear next. Any sightings?
