There’s always an event or activity on at the open plaza in front of Times Square – and now it is a new museum, called the Living Room Museum. The first exhibition is by photographer Dr. Leo K. K. Wong – and it is called “World of Images – My 60s-70s Hong Kong”.
Unfortunately it is not allowed to take photos inside, so I had to take a few from the outside – but they don’t do the actual pictures justice.
Dr. Wong took great monochrome pictures in the 1960s and 1970s in Hong Kong, and they are grouped together to show housing estates in Hong Kong, religious activities, day-to-day activities, rice fields and sunsets around Yuen Long as well as kids playing in the streets.
Around 50 words are displayed – all nicely printed and framed, and neatly arranged. There are some really great shots in there – you should go and see it, the exhibition is on until February 1, 2015 and open from 10am to 10pm every day.
