If you are bored… visit all MTR stations

You probably have seen this already… but if you haven’t check this out! Mark O’Leary and Aisling McDonnell spent a year ‘collecting’ all 83 Hong Kong MTR stations and published their colourful photo series online on their blog.

Within days their story got viral – the SCMP covered it, it was on Wall Street Journal’s blog, on Hong Wrong and many other sites including Facebook. That’s because it’s cleverly done, even if it is not too complicated – they just visited each MTR station and took a picture in front of it, Mark to the right of the sign and Aisling to the left of the sign.

Sometimes they were holding up props, other other times they were just pulling faces. What a dedication and fun ‘little’ project – full credits to them.

All the images in this post belong to Mark and Aisling, and if you want to find out more about why they choose some to take pictures with some weird household items, head over to their blog to find out more!

  1. Nice. I’ve been told the only way to truly travel and live in a new city is to visit every single metro station. But that’s too many! And in mainland cities they’re always building new ones.

    Thanks for sharing.
