This is the second part of our hike, which started on Chi Sum Road (here’s the first part).
After our Poon Choi lunch and silk tofu dessert we continued with our hike.
We walked through the village and exited through the Feng Shui woods at the back. We walked through a forest area and crossed a few river streams.
There were a few slippery stones, covered with moss and grass, so we had to walk quite slowly.
The way out out of Lai Chi Wo over on its western side is not as flat as the way in from the south – there was a 300m incline up a hill through dense forest – I was so glad it was still cooler and there were no mosquitos. It will be a different story in the summer.
We continued our journey downhill, passing some old abandoned Hakka houses in a very beautiful, but remote, part of Hong Kong.
